Antigua and Barbuda are located in the middle of the Leeward Islands in the Eastern Caribbean. Antigua is the largest of the English-speaking Leeward Islands, but its size is still relatively small and is about 14 miles long and 11 miles wide, encompassing 108 square miles. Its highest point is Boggy Peak (1319 ft.), located in the southwestern corner of the island. Barbuda, a flat coral island with an area of only 68 square miles, lies approximately 30 miles due north. There are 365 beaches on Antigua, so if you can stay for a year thats one for each day. The great majority rest inside the calm, protected waters of the island's Caribbean side.

Must See in Antigua

• Shirley Heights - This rambling array of gun emplacements and military buildings is best known today for the absolutely breathtaking prospect that it offers. From the Heights one can look far out over English Harbour
• Sea View Farm Village - Here you can see traditional folk pottery made. This traditional craft goes back to the early 18th century. You can also purchase this kind of pottery in a number of different outlets in the village.
• St Johns - The skyline of St. John's, the capital city of Antigua  and Barbuda, is dominated by the magnificently evocative white baroque towers of St. John's Cathedral, but make sure that on either Friday or Saturday mornings, you visit the farmers market on the southern edge of the city. It is a vibrant market with crafts, tropical fruits, and and farmers produce.
