Carnival Of Binche

Held in Binche this world famous Lenten Carnival dates back to the 16th century. There is a colorful celebration attracting thousands of visitors and is highlighted by theMardi Gras', held towards the end of February.

Mid Lent Carnival

This is held in Stavelot and is known as the Blanc Moussis festivities and parade. It is a great carnival where you can see the tossing of confetti by the ton at virtually anything that moves. Motorized cannons shoot confetti at the crowds and with skillful aim also target second floor flats along the parade route.

Brussels Jazz Marathon

Not the running kind this popular musical happening in May attracts over 250,000 jazz fans to the capital Brussels whereover 450 musicians unfold their talents on the 60 podiums in the cafes, bars, hotel lounges and the most prestigious public places.

Canal Festival - Bruges

In excess of 600 participants will provide an array of entertainment with their acting, singing, dancing and music-making alongside the beautifully lit canals, on the majestic Burgplein and in quiet courtyards and gardens.
