Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport is situated 14 miles (23km) north-east of Paris. It is the largest of Paris' two airports. The airport has over 200,000 passengers and handles 6000 tons of baggage and freight daily. It is an easy drive into central Paris and has excellent links with the rest of France.

Charles de Gaulle airport is made up of three terminals which are connected by free shuttle bus. Terminal 1 handles international flights, excluding Air France. Terminal 2 handles Air France and other airlines flying to European destinations and Terminal T9 handles charter flights exclusively. Terminal 2 currently has five separate halls and is being further expanded to an eventual capacity of 50 million people by 2010.

Airport Parking

All three terminals at Paris Charles de Gaulle have their own car parks - follow the signs from the AutoRoute or highway. Use the parking garage for the terminal where your airline is located.

Disabled Parking: There are reduced rates for users with a disability badge available in the Terminal 1, 2 and T9 Sud car parks. The discount rate is 50% of the published rates.

Short-term Parking
Short-term car parking is available at various points throughout Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport. Spaces are also reserved at reduced rates in these areas for passengers with disabilities.

Long-term Parking
Long-term car parking is available at Terminals 1, 2 and T9.
Terminal 1
Undercover parking at Terminal 1 is on three levels, with 2693 parking spaces. There are also 1750 uncovered parking spaces.
Terminal 2
Three floors of covered parking, with 3870 spaces, serve Halls A and B, two floors with 2452 spaces serve Halls C and D and three floors with 3235 spaces serve Hall F and the TGV station. There are also 1250 uncovered parking spaces. Parking with security guards is also available at Terminal 2.
Terminal T9
There are 782 covered parking spaces and 1250 uncovered parking spaces available for Terminal T9.

Facilities at Charles de Gaulle Airport

Both Terminals 1 and 2 have banks, bureaux de change and ATMs in every hall and both have post offices open from 8:30 am to 6:00 p.m. Pharmacies, medical clinics and vaccination services are also available at both terminals. The best shopping facilities are in Terminal 1, including duty-free.

T9 has few shops although the TGV station in Terminal 2 has a newsagent. As you would expect in a French airport, there is a wide selection of restaurants and bars in the airport which suit every pocket and taste. Depending on your budget you can choose from anything from McDonalds and pizza or splash out on a gourmet meal.
