Orly Airport lies some 15 kilometre from Paris. It is the city's number two airport handling mainly the domestic and charter flights, although some 30, medium and long haul airline operators use its South and West terminals. An impressive 35 million passengers pass through the airport each year, and although having reluctantly passed its premiership title to Paris Charles De Gaulle, it is still a transit location of major importance.

The facilities at the airport are of an excellent standard. The terminals are equipped with a Post Office, Banks, Bureau de Change and ATM facilities. There are also first aid stations, baby changing rooms, plentiful disabled access and facilities and a well presented business centre. Shops include the usual tax free store as well as a range of chic boutiques and exclusive gift shops selling fashion accessories, jewellery, lingerie, perfumes and cosmetics, The terminal has a newsagent and tobacconist, a chemist, a travel agency and a friendly help desk for tourist where the staff speak good English. Restaurants, bars and cafes provide an excellent choice for the diner or for those who just want a reviving drink or a coffee.

Parking at Orly Airport

There is plenty of available parking at the airport. Both West and South terminals have two car parks each, directly linked to the terminal. There are also cheaper car parks serving both terminals, linked by a free shuttle. In total, the airport can offer 7,060 long term and 10,580 short term parking spaces.
Located south of the city, it has good public transport links but getting there by car involves a trip along the notorious Paris "peripherique". Drivers would be advised to avoid peak time journeys if possible.
