  • Dalkey Castle and Heritage Centre - You can explore Goat Castle with its Murder hole, bartizan, garderobe, machicolations and battlements. View models of Medieval Dalkey, the Atmospheric and Funicular railways and the much-loved trams. Explore the folklore, customs and literary history of Dalkey, written by playwright, Hugh Leonard. Visit 11th century St. Begnet's Church & Graveyard and between April - December you can take part in Heritage Trails & Historical Walks in Dalkey.
  • Brazen Head Pub, 20 Lower Bridge Street , Dublin 8 - The Brazen Head Pub is reputedly the oldest pub in Dublin. There are traditional music session seven nights a week from 21.30 also on Sunday mornings from 12.30-14.30
  • Chester Beatty Library - This museum was voted European Museum of the Year 2002 and Irish Museum of the Year 2000. Situated in the heart of the city centre, the Chester Beatty Library's exhibitions show treasures of the great cultures and religions of the world. The Library's rich collection of manuscripts, prints, icons, miniature paintings, early printed books and objets d'art from countries across the world offers visitors a visual feast. Egyptian papyrus texts, beautifully illuminated copies of the Qur'an, the Bible, European medieval and renaissance manuscripts are among the highlights of the collection.

  • Dublin Horse Show - The Horse Show is a Dublin institution. A celebration of Ireland’s affinity with the horse, from the best show horses to the best international show jumpers. It is one of Ireland’s largest events, a highlight of the summer, each year welcoming close to 80,000 people from Ireland and all over the world. (Early August)
  • Irish Champion Stakes – One of the most important races in the European season and part of the Emirates World Racing Championship Series, expect a high calibre field in this event. ( Early September)
  • Dublin Fringe Festival - Dublin's Fringe Theatre Festival, set up in 1995, offers the visitor three fantastic weeks of theatre, dance, comedy and visual arts, showcasing a number of new Irish works. (Late September - Early October)
