Malaga a large port city, is located in the southern part of Spain on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, and is known for its bustling street life and beautiful beaches.
The town of Malaga has had two world famous citizens, the painter Pablo Picasso and the actor Antonio Banderas. As well as being a cultural centre, Malaga is also a great place to eat out. The Malagueños love their food and the bars and restaurants here are where the real social life takes place.
Malaga Airport
Malaga Airport is located about 8km south-west of Malaga. The airport is on the main road that links up with the A7 motorway and Toll Road, with Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Fuengirola and Marbella and Gibraltar to the west and Malaga, Nerja, Granada to the East. The Airport is clearly signposted from all directions.
The Airport is modern and has two terminals these are in adjoining buildings and are connected internally, the airport has ample facilities including 24hr cash machines, bars, restaurant and a shopping centre, there are over 20 different shops to choose from, they include: food and wine, toys, sports goods, fashion, designer labels, and much more. There is also a medical service, pharmacy, and exhibition area. Please note there is no left luggage facility at Malaga airport. The airport is serviced by bus, train and taxi service.
Car parks are available outside both terminals; both offer short-term parking. Covered and outdoor parking is available in the car park outside Terminal 2, whilst long-term parking (more than four days) is available in the Terminal 1 car park.

Malaga
- There is plenty to see: Malaga's 16th centry Cathedral, Alcazaba, 11th century Muslim fortress with ruins of a Roman amphitheatre and great views of the city;
- Castillo de Gibralfaro, a castle perched over the city with walls leading to the Alcazaba; Picasso's Birthplace Museum; and Palacio Aduana, 18th century palace housing the local government,
- Plaza de la Marina, a square overlooking the port; and Paseo del Parque, a long, wide avenue rising from the harbour leading to the old town.
- At the Fundacion Picasso Museum in Plaza de la Merced 15. (Picasso's childhood home), there is a permanent exhibition of Picasso engravings entitled "Le Chants des Morts" on show. Another exhibition of engravings by Picasso to illustrate the book "Carmen" by Merimee is on show on the first floor. The Museum is open during the summer Monday to Sunday mornings between 10.00 and 14.00 and Monday to Saturday evenings between 18.00 and 21.00. During the winter months it is open Monday to Sunday mornings from 10.00 to 14.00 and Monday to Saturday evenings from 18.00 to 20.00. Closed on public holidays.
