• Grand S. Torcato Pilgrimage - the first Sunday in July In Guimarães, with a cortege processing along the city streets depicting allegorical scenes from the life of the saint.
• Festival of Our Lady in Sorrow - 20th August when Portugese people celebrate in traditional dress with processions and music, the part that the sea has played in their lives since the 18th century.
