Seville is one of the most attractive Spanish cities and has are many historic monuments that reflect Spain’s heritage. Such as Seville’s 15th century Cathedral close to the 12th century Alcazar which is a mix of Moorish, English and Renaissance Spanish architecture. It has a 16th century town hall and a type of light house the Torre del Oro, a tall tower with another turret on top to give it extra height built to protect the river from boats entering the port uninvited. One of the most popular tourist attractions in the area for the more physically active are the foothills of the Sierra Morena where visitors can take part in hiking and bike riding.

Real Alcázar is a 14th century palace built in the Moorish style by Pedro I the Cruel. Along with its beautiful gardens, the palace also has the room where Christopher Columbus's journey to the Americas were planned.
