Places to visit near Geneva Airport

• Geneva is a popular airport for skiers, as it is the nearest airport to many ski resorts, including Megeve, Avoriaz, Morzine, Chamonix, and Verbier.
• The Jet d'Eau is the most famous attraction in the city. It is the tallest fountain in the world, and is very impressive, especially at night when it is illuminated.
• The Museum of Modern Contemporary Art displays works from the early 1960s onwards, and the Cathedral de Saint Pierre is worth a look.
• Visit the huge United Nations building and sign the Golden Book of Peace to show your support.
• Shopping is great, with lots of upmarket shops, and the outdoor markets sell flowers, crafts and antiques. The Old Town has more antiques and art galleries, and typical Swiss bistros line the streets.
• If you just want to relax, go to the beach at Paquis Plage for a casual atmosphere, or the one at Geneve-Plage for more activity – here you will find an Olympic sized swimming pool, diving platform, superslide, wading pool and giant toboggan, lots of other sporting activities, such as volleyball, and many restaurants.
