Terms and Conditions - Best Car Hire
Full payment for car hire bookings must be made at the time of booking with a major credit/debit card.
Driving Licence: It is a condition of car hire to ensure that you and any additional drivers have available ID and a valid and full national driver's licence (in case of a UK photo-card licence the card and paper counterpart). Your driving license must have been held for 12 months.
Certain driving convictions, particularly those relating to drink / drugs, theft, careless / reckless driving and insurance offences (DVLA endorsements codes UT.CD.DD.DR.BA.TT.AC.IN) will prevent the client from renting. Other offences may incur a surcharge on the damage excess. If in any doubt please contact the supplier or ourselves beforehand. Refunds will not be made on the basis of the supplier refusing to rent under these circumstances.
Age Restriction: The minimum and maximum age limits that apply to car hire vary from country to country from suppliers and between different car groups. The minimum is 21 years and the maximum age is 75 years.
Unlimited Mileage: When booking your car hire through Best Car Hire you can rest assured that no matter how far you drive while you have your hire car there will be no extra mileage costs when you return it. Exceptions apply to certain vehicles and locations in Australia and some prestige and luxury vehicles in various destinations.
General Conditions:
Best Car Hire in conjunction with Auto Europe does not provide insurance. Coverage is provided by the rental company as indicated. Additional coverage for car hire excess insurance is available here. This also includes cover for damage to windows, wheels, tyres, the roof, and underside which most car hire suppliers insurance coverage does not cover.
Optional equipment items are on a request basis only, for an additional fee.
We strongly advise clients to check if car is DIESEL or REGULAR fuel at pick up.
Domestic and International One Way rentals are not permitted.

Car Types: The vehicle type listed on our website and your voucher is for guidance only. Cars are booked by tariff group and therefore specific makes and models cannot be guaranteed. The car rental supplier reserves the right to supply a vehicle of similar size or specification.
Cancellation Charges: All bookings are administered by Auto Europe. There are no cancellation or amendment fees when you advise Auto Europe 48 hours prior to the your hire start date. Should you cancel less than 48 hours prior to your hire start date, not show up or show up late to collect the vehicle, a no show fee equal to the first 3 days of your car hire will be charged. Auto Europe cannot refund any unused days if the vehicle is returned early.
Refundable Deposits: It is a condition of car hire for the car driver to leave a refundable deposit using a major credit card. Debit or Switch cards are not acceptable. The deposit is for an amount (minimum: Excess + Fuel + VAT). Please ensure you check your vehicle carefully before starting and when finishing your rental.
Best Car Hire can provide separate car hire excess insurance. This low cost insurance will cover the excess which can be as much as £1,000. Our cover underwritten by UK insurers is considerably less than car rental providers who charge up to £12 per day.

Rental Extension: If rental is extended after commencement, client is required to return to location to sign a new contract in order to have valid insurance coverage for the extra days. Additional drivers sign on and pay locally.
