Airport Terminals GuideThere are eight operating terminals at JFK International Airport with more than 30 miles of roadways. The central terminal area (CTA), a one mile circular roadway, consists of nine airline passenger terminals (terminal 5 is currently closed) which are numbered 1 to 9. As you would expect within a large multinational airport the terminal facilities are excellent. There are World Duty Free shops in Terminals 2, 3, and 7. In addition to this, a duty-free shop is also found in Terminal 4, together with international shops with duty-free products in Terminals 1, 8, and 9. There are also a wide range of gift shops to suit every need from music stores to designer boutiques such as DKNY. Every terminal at JFK has places to eat and drink that suit every taste and budget. There are also internet access areas in terminals 8 and 9, ATMs in every terminal and currency exchange facilities in every terminal except terminal 1. For passengers with special needs there is one amplified phone for the hearing impaired in every bank of phones within the airport. Each terminal at the airport features at least one wheelchair accessible restroom. Information booths located on the arrivals level in any of the terminals are always available to provide assistance in locating these restrooms. Parking at JFK AirportJFK airport offers over 14,700 public spaces, two 1,400-space parking garages, the long-term lot and an additional 3,200 spaces in the Central Terminal Area (CTA). The airport provides daily and long-term parking facilities. There are car parks in front of each terminal.
